TRANSFERRING YOUR WEBSITE AND DOMAIN
Changing a webhost is easy, just follow this guide!
- 1. Choose a plan
- Choose and order a plan that fits your needs. Shortly after your purchase you will receive login credentials and you can transfer your website to our server.
- 2. Setup your website and email
- Login to cPanel and create your email addresses, forwarders and setup your MySQL-databases. Double-check that everything is working properly by using the temporary URL given in your welcome-message.
- 3. Update nameservers
- Update your nameservers. If you dont have access to update your domain's nameservers, contact your previous webhost who registered your domain. If you wish to transfer your domain administration to Scene Group, ask your previous webhost to provide you with your domain's EPP key and to remove Registrar-lock. Send the EPP key to our support and we will initiate the transfer process.
- 4. Finished!
- Within 24 hours from the nameserver update your domain will start pointing to our servers. Don't forget to update your email program with the new incoming mailserver address! Also, don't forget to cancel your contract with your previous provider. Now your all set and ready to rock, welcome to Scene Group!
